Dental payroll for associates and office teams
Tidwell helps a dental office turn approved staff hours and associate compensation instructions into a repeatable payroll handoff. The practice and its advisers establish employment arrangements and resolve questions about compensation terms.

Keep the compensation calculation with the approval
For an associate paid using collections or production, retain the financial summary and the practice’s approved calculation. Hourly staff need their own actual time records. Share the financial information required for payroll while keeping patient charts out of the handoff.
Review incentive pay before the run closes
California regular-rate guidance includes nondiscretionary bonuses that compensate production or proficiency. Identify the period and terms behind an incentive rather than entering an unexplained bonus amount. Have the responsible adviser establish its payroll treatment before the office approves the calculation.

Set an approval backup for clinical days
For weekly or biweekly pay periods, California’s payday guidance generally allows no more than seven calendar days from period end to payment. Arrange a second approver when the practice manager is unavailable. A full appointment calendar should not leave known staff wages waiting for a missing timecard.
