Measure E-24 and city revenue planning

Retail books should show gross sales, returns and sales-tax amounts separately, with deposits reconciled to the sales system. City revenue projections describe public finances rather than a local business's expected sales. Tidwell can help review the bookkeeping setup and supporting sales records before a filing period closes.

  • Measure E-24 raised Arroyo Grande's sales tax 1% (7.75% to 8.75%) for ten years; passed November 2024 with 64.95% yes.
  • Measure E-24 is expected to add about $6 million a year to city revenue.

Traffic Way and the wider highway corridor

A completed bridge and corridor rehabilitation are useful reminders to separate closeout from active construction. For a public works contractor, reconcile final vendor invoices and outstanding retention by job. Current labor records should identify the actual site and contract so costs from a wider corridor do not drift into unrelated local work.
