QuickBooks for trucking and fleet cost records
A load settlement can include advances and deductions before money reaches the bank. Tidwell uses QuickBooks ProAdvisor expertise to make those components visible and organize reports around the vehicles or activities you need to review.

Create a settlement posting plan
Choose accounts that distinguish freight earnings, advances, fuel charges and other settlement adjustments under your CPA’s instructions. Identify the document that supports each entry. A load reference should follow the settlement into the file, even when several loads arrive in one transfer.
Choose a manageable vehicle view
Classes can segment QuickBooks transactions, including by business activity. If vehicle classes fit the fleet, establish a naming convention and a process for shared charges. Keep the list simple, as Intuit recommends, and test repairs and insurance allocations before expecting meaningful comparisons.

Reconcile the cards as well as the operating bank
Fuel and repair transactions may appear in more than one import. Intuit’s reconciliation workflow covers both bank and credit card accounts. Compare the ending balances with statements, investigate repeated entries, then review the vehicle cost reports with unallocated expenses called out.
