Resolve the ticket-to-customer connection
Agree on customer naming and the reference carried from the dispatch ticket into accounting. Organize income and purchase categories around service work and installations. Determine how deposits and unfinished work should appear with your CPA before changing balances.
Use projects for the longer installation
Projects is available with QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced. Test it with a job that has several purchases and billing stages. Keep small service tickets in a workflow the office can maintain, and decide how callbacks are identified when no additional customer invoice is issued.

Rebuild grouped payments without losing tickets
When a bank combines payments, Intuit’s reconciliation guidance says to group them correspondingly in QuickBooks. Review a disputed deposit against the constituent tickets and processor record. Retain supplier-credit references through cleanup so a returned fixture does not leave an unexplained cost on the job.
