QuickBooks setup for electricians and electrical projects
An electrical job can accumulate supply-house purchases before its next billing stage. QuickBooks ProAdvisor expertise helps Tidwell organize the file so those costs and invoices can be reviewed against the same project.

Connect the material list to the account map
Use consistent purchase categories for job materials, rentals and operating expenses. Preserve job references on supplier bills and returned-material credits. Keep a review list for charges that cover more than one installation instead of assigning the whole invoice to whichever job was entered first.
Make the estimate support staged invoices
QuickBooks progress invoicing allows multiple partial invoices from one estimate. The estimate must be accepted before conversion to an invoice. Test the workflow on a panel replacement or installation with distinct billing stages and confirm that approved scope changes remain explainable.

Review the file after a project is closed
Check unpaid supplier balances, unmatched credits and expenses without a job. Reconcile financial accounts to bank and card statements before comparing project results. Missing and duplicate transactions can explain reconciliation differences; avoid concealing them with an unsupported adjustment.
