PWC-100 public works project registration
Project registration identifies the awarded job in DIR’s system. The awarding body files the contract award notice; a contractor’s practical task is to confirm the project information needed for its own payroll reporting.

Distinguish the project notice from contractor registration
DIR identifies PWC-100 as the awarding body’s contract award notice, with an exemption for qualifying small projects. It is separate from the contractor’s own registration. Keep the project and contractor identifiers in distinct fields in the job file.

Check the awarding body’s filing window
DIR says project registration must be completed within 30 days of award and no later than the day a contractor first has workers on the project. If project information is missing, contact the awarding body early rather than discovering the issue while preparing payroll submission.
Confirm access to the modernized services
DIR replaced the older project, contractor-registration and eCPR applications with Public Works Website Services. Previous logins do not work; users must register a new account. Check access before a reporting deadline and use DIR’s support instructions for the current process.

Compare the public project record with the contract
DIR’s Public Works page offers a Find Public Works Projects search. As a practical check, compare the project name and awarding body with your agreement and preserve the matching project identifier. Resolve a similar-name mismatch before attaching payroll to a project.

Keep the exemption question with the project file
DIR lists small-project thresholds of $25,000 for construction, alteration, installation, demolition or repair and $15,000 for maintenance. Ask the awarding body to confirm the applicable project status. Do not infer the project’s filing treatment solely from the amount of your own invoice.

Prepare the project file for eCPR reporting
Tidwell helps organize project identifiers and payroll support for certified reporting once the awarding body’s project information is available.
