Obtain access through the project contact

The vendor directs subcontractors who must submit through LCPtracker for a prime contractor or project owner to contact Support for account-access assistance. Confirm the invitation and project assignment with the requesting party. Do not assume that credentials for another project establish access to this one.

Prepare the payroll details before uploading

LCPtracker describes its Pro product as collecting certified payroll electronically and flagging potential errors before submission. Organize worker, classification, time and benefit records before entering the report. Use a validation message as an issue to investigate against source documents, rather than as a substitute for reviewing the underlying pay.

Distinguish a generated file from a submitted report

The vendor describes LCPcertified as producing XML that can be uploaded to state portals including California DIR. Keep file creation, upload and acceptance as separate checkpoints in your working log. Save the submitted version and the destination’s confirmation so the job file shows what actually reached the recipient.

Confirm the separate Labor Commissioner obligation

DIR states that sending payroll to a prime, awarding body, union or labor compliance program does not satisfy its filing requirement. Each company files its own records with the Labor Commissioner. Review the contract and applicable DIR obligation, then retain confirmation from each required destination.
