Santa Barbara payroll services for staff and shifts
Tidwell supports Santa Barbara payroll remotely, with meetings at our Atascadero office by arrangement. The starting point is a clear employer record, an agreed schedule and an authorized person to approve each run.

Use regional employer context without assuming a shared pay setup
The city’s employer table dated June 30, 2025 lists UC Santa Barbara, the County of Santa Barbara and Cottage Health System among major regional employers. These institutions illustrate the wider employment setting; they are not Tidwell client claims. A smaller office or service business still needs its own salary, hourly and leave instructions.
Preserve assignment records on infrastructure work
Santa Barbara’s FY2025 records report the new police station’s foundation system completed and the State Street Undercrossing underway. Such dated project records provide context for organizing contractor payroll; they do not confirm today’s construction status. Use the employer’s actual project instructions to identify covered assignments.
Check hourly detail before reviewing the payroll total
California wage statements must identify applicable hourly rates and the corresponding hours, along with the employer’s legal name and address and pay-period dates. Retain that detail when employees move between tasks. An aggregate amount approved by a manager is not enough to explain each earning category.

Retain leave corrections through a supervisor change
Available paid sick leave must be shown on the pay stub or separately in writing under California guidance. Keep approved usage and adjustments in the handoff even when a supervisor is absent. Set the cutoff and payday in advance, with a backup approver for unresolved entries.
