QuickBooks for law firms and matter records
Tidwell applies QuickBooks ProAdvisor expertise to the financial file while the responsible lawyer sets client-fund procedures. We work alongside your CPA or attorney; software configuration is not a determination of trust-account compliance.

Separate the account map from the matter list
Identify the bank accounts, operating expenses and client-fund balances your advisers require before importing activity. Use matter references to explain individual transactions without treating each matter as a new revenue account. The attorney must approve how funds move between the records.
Choose practice-area views deliberately
Where management wants practice-area comparisons, classes can categorize transactions into segments. QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced support class creation. Decide whether a practice-area view adds useful information before building it; it cannot substitute for a client-level supporting ledger.

Resolve unexplained transfers with the responsible lawyer
Match statement entries with the underlying receipts and disbursement instructions during cleanup. Intuit identifies missing or duplicate transactions as possible reconciliation problems. Record unresolved client references for attorney review instead of forcing a balance. Once reconciled, provide operating reports with a separate list of open matter questions.
