QuickBooks ProAdvisor expertise helps Tidwell turn booking exports into an accounting workflow that can be reviewed property by property. The CPA establishes how advances, owner funds and completed stays should be treated.

Define what the reservation system supplies
Choose the summary that will support each posting period. Separate lodging receipts, refunds, platform fees and amounts waiting for payout in the account map. Preserve booking references for disputed or cancelled stays instead of relying solely on the transfer description.
Test property locations on representative stays
Location tracking is available in QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced and groups data by business location. Evaluate it against your property-reporting needs using a completed stay, a refund and a shared expense. It does not replace separate owner-fund records or legal handling instructions.
Match payout groups during cleanup
Compare each platform settlement with its component bookings and the bank receipt. Intuit recommends matching grouped payments in QuickBooks to the grouping used by the bank. Review older unmatched receipts before issuing revised property reports, with unresolved owner allocations sent to the responsible adviser.
