QuickBooks for farms and agricultural operations
Crop activity and equipment spending need more explanation than a bank category. Tidwell applies QuickBooks ProAdvisor expertise to the farm’s account structure, with valuation and accounting-method choices directed by its CPA.

Sort the account map from the enterprise map
Use the chart of accounts for recurring cost types and balance-sheet categories. Decide whether crop, field or enterprise detail belongs in a separate reporting dimension. Keep equipment invoices, financing schedules and sale settlements available rather than inferring their treatment from the payment size.
Test a seasonal enterprise report
QuickBooks classes categorize transactions by meaningful segments, and class reports include profit-and-loss views. A farm can consider enterprise classes where its subscription supports them. Choose an allocation method for shared fuel, machinery and office costs before comparing growing activities.

Repair historical coding without rewriting source records
Start with a selected season and reconcile bank and credit card balances. Missing transactions or duplicate entries can create differences in QuickBooks. Review unclear harvest settlements and equipment transfers with the CPA; preserve an adjustment log so later reports explain what changed.
