Owner Candace Tidwell has been in the bookkeeping and accounting field since 1998. She is a long-time resident of Atascadero, and many of her more than 150 clients have been with her for over fifteen years.
Candace continues her education by attending Accounting Seminars all over the US through QuickBooks and Sleeter Group.
Leah graduated in 2010 from Columbia College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She started with TBS in 2008. Larger businesses are her forte. She has worked with many startup companies to help them get going on the right foot and assists with all legal requirements.
Kim started with Tidwell Bookkeeping in 2013. She was born and raised in Paso Robles. She joins the team with much QuickBooks experience. She spent 11 years at her previous employment as Operations Manager. She handled the production, ordering, customer service and bookkeeping. Kim graduated Cuesta College with an AA in Business and Pre-Nursing.
Mekenzi joined us in January 2018, graduated Cal Poly in 2003 with a bachelors in English. She has 18 years of bookkeeping experience. She has continued her education with accounting classes at Cuesta and is QBO certified.
Macy came to us September 2016 with medical billing experience and is certified by the American Academy of Professional Coders. Macy works with our medical office clientele and is QBO certified. She is in charge of our Payroll Department including weekly, bi weekly, Monthly payrolls, Payroll taxes, Quarterlies and Work Comp Audits.
Monica joined the team in September 2017, and she is currently managing our largest client. She is very knowledgeable with all accounting functions and is able to complete tasks accurately and efficiently, making it all look very easy.
Michelle merged with us in June 2016 from another local bookkeeping service, Systems 42. Michelle has been doing bookkeeping and QuickBooks for many years. She currently runs our restaurants and other local businesses with much ease. She has worked many of her clients for more than 10 years.
Vanessa started her career in accounting in 2002 while attending Cuesta College. With almost a decade of experience as a Controller and HR Manager, she specializes in small to mid-size companies. She has taken on some of our largest "Clean Up" accounts and enjoys the challenge of getting it right.
Gretchen has extensive knowledge with QuickBooks Online, Excel, Word, and Outlook. She has completed courses in Finance and Basic Accounting Principles and has worked closely with customers, clients, employees and management for 30+ years. From Set-up to Clean-up, she can do it all.
Lisa is our “go-to girl”. She assists the entire staff and clients with whatever they may need. From banking to errands to making sure the letter gets in the mail, she is the one who gets it done.
Courtney started in November 2015 as our receptionist. After a few accounting classes while also getting her Nursing credentials, she is now working on bookkeeping and QuickBooks. Her future holds becoming a nurse. Courtney is assisting with the other staff with Payroll and daily accounting needs.
